Importing large packages

If you're importing packages larger than 30 MB, use this workspace. Here, the packages are automatically split and imported to avoid timeout error.

This feature is in Beta phase in 2023.1 release.

To import a package

1.Log in to Neurons for ITSM as an Administrator.

2.Open the Configuration console > Build > Development Package > Large Packages (Beta).

3.Click the Import Package button.

4.Browse the package to be imported and click Ok.

5.Select Preview Impact.

In case of package containing large tables or records over a million, such as in CI or Audit_CI, it is possible for the import to be unsuccessful or with warnings. The Preview Impact displays the details of the impacted table. In such a scenario, raise a Service Request to the Ivanti Operations team to take a backup of the tables and then apply the package.

The default limit is set to 1 million, if the package contains more records than the set limit, a warning is shown in the Preview Impact. The limit can be changed if required by the Ivanti Operations team.

If the package import takes longer than 30 minutes, it is possible for the import to fail. Reach out to the Ivanti Operations team to help you with the import.

Predicate Conditions

When importing packages, if some of the packages are skipped in the process, the warning messages displays the details of the packages that did not get imported and the unmet predicate conditions. This helps is getting a clear picture of what went wrong and how it can be fixed.
